A new tiny-home community near San Antonio is raising eyebrows for marketing pint-sized houses for over $140,000
- The 96-home community is halfway sold out, a representative of the developer told BI.
- But skeptics online are questioning whether a tiny home priced at over $140,000 is a fair deal.
- Elm Trails is the first tiny-home community built by Lennar, a home construction company based in Florida.
- Rhonda Ober, a Lennar representative, told Business Insider that construction started eight months ago and is expected to be completed within a year.
- Around half of the 96 homes in the community have already sold, Ober said. The success may come as a surprise given that local coverage of the project in the past few months has highlighted a debate over whether the price tags are too steep.

Blue States Saw Highest Rates Of Homelessness In 2023
- In the year 2023, the highest recorded rates of homelessness on average were found in states that lean Democratic, as well as the District of Columbia.
- Although not actually a state, Washington D.C. had the highest rate of homelessness in the country, at 73.3 for every 10,000 residents, which amounts to roughly 4,922 total homeless.
- New York came in second with 52.4 homeless people for every 10,000, or 103,200 total. Vermont came in third with 50.9 per 10,000, or about 3,295. Rounding out the top five was Oregon, in fourth place, with 50 per 10,000, equating to about 20,000 people; and California, with 46.5 per 10,000, equivalent to 181,399 people.
- The city of San Francisco in particular saw a surge in homeless tent encampments in the aftermath of the Chinese Coronavirus pandemic, reaching a record high of over 500. The city of New York has also faced a similar crisis, though the numbers are more due to illegal aliens than homeless residents, with over 70,000 illegals currently being housed in homeless shelters or emergency shelters.

U.S. economy has achieved long-sought soft landing, Yellen declares
- Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen declared Friday the U.S. economy had achieved a long-sought soft landing, a historically unusual event in which high inflation is tamed without significantly damaging the labor market.
- “What we’re seeing now I think we can describe as a soft landing, and my hope is that it will continue,” Yellen said Friday in an interview with CNN.
- Government figures out earlier Friday showed job gains and wage increases in December both exceeded expectations, with payrolls climbing 216,000. The report, which suggested continued upside risk for inflation, prompted investors to trim bets that the Federal Reserve would begin cutting rates in March.
- Yellen zeroed in on the latest wage data, which showed average hourly earnings rose 4.1% in the year through December. Given consumer inflation for the year is projected by economists to come in at 3.2%, that would mean wages exceeded price growth in 2023.

- ♦ Q1: How do you prevent congress from delaying the certification of state electoral votes?
- A: It requires a crisis. A crisis that creates an “emergency” …An “emergency” that invokes special house rules.
- literally 3 minutes before two representatives issued a vote for motions to suspend the certification, the House members were “informed” by capitol police and other “agents” that a protest was about to breach the chambers. It was at this time that key people: Pence, Pelosi, Schumer, Mcconnell can be seen being walked out and escorted from the chamber. This effectively halted the Entire Chamber Process.
- Why was it necessary to halt the chamber process?
- The crisis was created to eliminate the motion challenges to halt the certification and to begin voting to look into voting irregularities and fraud
- The two motions were completely legal and constitutional under at least two constitutionally recognized procedures… procedures that would REQUIRE the house to pause the certification and then vote to determine whether the motions of suspend could move forward.
- What was so important to refuse this motion and the subsequent votes to suspend the electoral certification?
- It was important to remove that process entirely and continue the fraud and certify the fraud with no detractors on record. This effectively gives no standing for a SCOTUS ruling appeal! Understand this. If those two motions, even just one had successfully been voted EVEN IF THE MOTIONS were DENIED IN VOTE, this gives those who presented them with STANDING FOR A CONSTITUTIONAL LEGAL ARGUMENT BEFORE SCOTUS.
- Could this have been done some other way other than creating a crisis/protest?
- Unlikely. In order to prevent those two motions, requires that speaker of the house, minority leaders, and the president of the congress (vice president of the United States: Pence), to NOT BE PRESENT IN THE CHAMBERS.
- Once the capitol police and other “law enforcements agents” informed the speaker and these three other individuals, Pelosi UNILATERALLY UNDER EMERGENCY RULES, suspended the business of the congress. This protest was necessary. The crisis was created because there is no other way to suspend the business of certification UNILATERALLY. By creating a crisis invokes emergency procedures. No other circumstances other than war or mass simultaneous explosive diarrhea can create such unilateral speaker delivered suspension of the certification.
- The Speaker initiated the NEW sessions under special emergency rules. These rules abandon and make it clear that the ONLY purpose of the new session was to EXPEDITE the certification and dismiss all prior regular session procedural rules. This is why those two motions to table votes to consider a debate and pause to the certifications of state vote electors never happened later that evening when the house business was reconvened!
- what other peculiar things occurred when the speaker reconvened?
- A: Members were allowed to “vote” in proxy, remotely, not being present. You can use your imagination about what conditions were placed on ALL members during this time to prevent anyone from “getting out of line”.
- the J6 pipe bombs were the insurance policy – in the event the feds couldn’t get the crowd to comply with the FBI provocations. If no one stormed the Capitol, the finding of the two pipe bombs would have then been the emergency needed to stop the process.” Which explains why the FBI has no interest in the DC pipe bomb suspects. ~ Sundance

- According to national and swing state polls reviewed by Bloomberg, the former president and GOP front runner has between 14 percent and 30 percent of the Black vote share as the country heads into an election year.
- This is far beyond the 8 percent of the Black vote the Pew Research Center said the Republican won in the 2020 presidential election and more than any Republican candidate before him.
- The NAACP estimated that 5 million African Americans voted in the 1960 presidential election when Richard Nixon won 32 percent of the Black vote, according to Politico. Since then, the Black population has increased from around 10.83 percent or 19,418,190 people, according to an analysis of census data, to 13.6 percent of the overall population or 46,936,733 people.

- Trump on Wednesday met with Sean O’Brien, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, indicating that the GOP frontrunner is making progress in his efforts to court a traditionally Democratic voting block.
