Retired police sergeant sentenced to 10 years for distributing child pornography following HSI Galveston, local partner investigation

Ryan N. Curving, a 50-year-old resident of Texas City, was sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas to 10 years in federal prison and was further ordered to pay $5,000 assessments to both the Justice for Victims Trafficking Act and the Amy, Vicky and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act, for a total of $10,000 in penalties.

ERO Philadelphia removes foreign fugitive wanted to complete incarceration in Colombia

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Philadelphia removed Miguel Angel Hernandez Moreno, a citizen of Colombia with a final order of removal, to Colombia on Feb. 13. Hernandez is a foreign fugitive wanted by law enforcement authorities in Colombia to complete his incarceration for conviction on a simple homicide with aggravating factors.

ICE conducts single adult, family unit removal flights Feb. 23

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a component agency of the Department of Homeland Security, working in close coordination across the Department including with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), continued to facilitate removal flights of single adults and family units February 19 - 23.
